I think we are all aware (if not, where have you been?) that the holiday season is upon us. No matter what holiday you celebrate, or what part of the world you are in, this season brings a lot of parties and mingling. This means a lot of fashion decisions. More than the average person makes all year long. I know that this can become quite stressful for me, so I thought I would address it with this week's topic: the statement piece.

A statement piece is one large component of your outfit that is the most eye catching. It can be big, shiny, a popping colour or just plain weird (I would avoid the weird, but to each their own). The great thine about a statement piece is that the rest of your outfit should be less attenton grabbing, it is more like the canvas on which the statement piece will be "painted" on. This means you don't need to buy new items, or at least, if you do, no need to stress too much about them, because the statement piece will be the talking point of your outfit.
